We're seeking a talented Financial Analyst II to dive into the world of premium billing and reconciliation. In this role, you'll play a crucial part in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of financial processes related to our commercial health products. You'll be working with large datasets, crafting SQL queries, and collaborating with various teams to solve complex payment issues. What You'll Be Doing:

Become a Financial Detective: Investigate and resolve inquiries related to premium invoicing, both from internal and external sources.
Analyze and Optimize: Review premium payments, identify discrepancies, and provide recommendations for improvements.
Problem-Solve with Precision: Research member premium issues and develop effective solutions.
Master the Data: Use your SQL skills to reconcile revenue streams, including member payments, subsidies, and credits, ensuring accurate member accounts.
Smooth Payment Processes: Resolve payment disputes with vendors and ensure timely application of funds to member accounts.
Enhance Communication: Collaborate with print vendors to create and update billing notifications and member notices, adhering to regulatory guidelines.
Partner with Vendors: Coordinate with business process outsourcing (BPO) vendors for programming modifications and other business needs.
Manage Refunds and Overpayments: Perform detailed analysis and process member refunds efficiently.
Ensure Accurate Commissions: Verify internal and external broker commission payments.
Contribute to Financial Reporting: Prepare month-end reports and journal entries for financial and management reporting.
Navigate Regulations: Interpret and apply regulatory requirements related to premium billing and revenue reconciliation.
Be a Trusted Resource: Build strong relationships and provide valuable support across the organization.
Embrace Continuous Improvement: Incorporate LEAN principles into your daily work.
Contribute to Success: Take on other duties as needed to ensure smooth health plan operations.
What You'll Bring:

A minimum of three (3) years of experience in premium billing, reconciliation, and/or reporting.
Experience supporting monthly financial reporting with other finance teams.
Proven ability to work with large datasets and develop SQL queries.
Experience in managed care, particularly with commercial products.
A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Health Care Administration, Accounting, or a related field.
Strong understanding of premium billing practices in the healthcare industry.
Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
Proficiency in SQL Server query development and writing.
Intermediate skills in Excel and Word.
Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
Strong critical thinking, analytical, and prioritizing skills.
A proactive approach to meeting deadlines.
Exceptional attention to detail.
The ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
